Jazz Guard Donovan Mitchell Crosses Over Clippers’ Paul George Before Burying Three-Pointer

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell put Clippers forward Paul George on skates before connecting on a three-pointer during the opening minutes of the second half of Utah’s game against Los Angeles.
Los Angeles hosted Utah at Staples Center on Friday, February 19.
With 10:29 left in the third quarter, Mitchell crossed over George before rising up and burying a wide-open triple.
Mitchell’s shot cut L.A.’s lead to 59-54.

Mitchell scored 12 of Utah’s first 15 points of the third quarter.

After the spurt, the fourth-year guard had 18 points on 7-16 on field goals, including 2-6 from beyond the arc.

Mitchell added three rebounds, two assists, and two steals during his first 21 minutes on the court.
At the end of the quarter, the Jazz trailed the Clippers, 77-75.
Mitchell went to the final 12 minutes of action with 18 points on 7-17 shooting.
He posted a plus-five rating during his 23 minutes of action.
The Jazz shot 43.9 percent overall and 32.1 percent from distance during the first three quarters.

By comparison, the Clippers shot 48.5 percent from the field, including 31.6 percent from three.
Kawhi Leonard led L.A. with 24 points.
