SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake striker Douglas Martinez has been called into the Honduras under-23 camp ahead of friendlies against Costa Rica.
Martinez will be present and available for selection when the Honduras U-23 team plays Costa Rica on two occasions between the dates of February 18 through the 26th.
The upcoming friendlies add to an already busy period for Martinez who has been spending time in Honduras preparing for CONCACAF Olympic qualifying next month in Mexico. Honduras will face Canada, El Salvador and Haiti during the Group Stage with the first match on March 19. The winner of each of the two qualifying groups will make the semifinal match. The two teams who reach the championship match will automatically qualify for this summer’s Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
