Utah Jazz Center Rudy Gobert Feasts During Third Quarter Against Clippers

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz center Rudy Gobert feasted in the paint during the third quarter of Utah’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Clippers hosted the Jazz at Staples Center on Wednesday, February 17.
After trailing Los Angeles by five points at halftime, Gobert helped Utah outscore the Clippers by 11 points during the first twelve minutes after the break.
During the third quarter, Gobert scored 12 points. The big man’s roll to the basket was so effective that it forced the Clippers into fouling. Gobert went to the charity stripe three times during the quarter.

As the two teams went to their benches in preparation for the final 12 minutes of action, the Jazz held an 81-75 lead.
During the first 36 minutes of game time, Gobert had 18 points on 7-10 field goals. He already had recorded a double-double with 13 rebounds. Gobert added one assist and a steal to his stat line.

The Jazz shot 45.1 percent from the field, including 33.3 percent from three during the first three quarters.
Donovan Mitchell led Utah with 20 points.

Los Angeles shot 46.9 percent overall and 46.7 percent from distance.
The Clippers were led by Lou Williams’ 16 points.
