SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau returns to the PGA Tour after spending a week in Saudi Arabia on the European Tour. He enters this week after consecutive second-place finishes through his last two starts.
Finau, 31, will be chasing his second career PGA Tour victory this week at the Genesis Open hosted at the world-renowned Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California.
Starting at 8:35 a.m. on Thursday, Finau will tee it up on the 10th hole alongside Francesco Molinari and Sung Kang. On Friday, the trio will go off the first tee at 1:05 p.m.

The Genesis Open and Finau have a long/hate relationship with one and another. This year will mark the fifth consecutive year that he has participated in the tournament. He debuted in 2017 when he missed the cut, in 2018 he tied for 2nd place, in 2019 he finished in a tie for 15th, and last year he finished in a tie for 51st.
However, with how Finau has been striking the ball recently, the expectation this week for Finau is high.
Two weeks ago he travelled to Saudi Arabia where he finished two shots behind eventual champion Dustin Johnson and in a tie for second place. The week prior he finished five shots behind Patrick Reed at the Farmers Insurance and in a tie for second place.
Finau has been public with his desire and intent on winning a second PGA Tour tournament. He has confessed to working harder in an attempt to better his game.
“It is all about winning, I know sports is all about winning. I am now at that point in my career where that’s what I am chasing,” Finau told reporters a few weeks ago.
