Weber State Football Moves Robert Conley To Running Backs Coach

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State football announced that Robert Conley will move over from the defensive line and will be the new running backs coach.
Robert Conley was hired by Weber State head coach Jay Hill to be the defensive line coach on January 13. Now he will move over to the offensive side of the ball and coach the running backs.
Conley takes over for Quinton Ganther, who left the program to be an offensive assistant coach on Urban Meyer’s staff with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ganther was the running backs coach at Weber State for seven years.
Conley has ties to the state of Utah as he played for the Utes from 2004-08. His coaching career included three years as a graduate assistant for the Utes and coaching at at the high school level.

Weber State has a stable of running backs with Josh Davis, Kevin Smith Jr., Kris Jackson and Dontae McMillan expected to carry the load in the backfield. The Wildcats will open the 2021 season on Saturday, February 27 against the Idaho State Bengals.
Additional Hires
In addition to Conleyâs new role, Weber State announced three new coaching hires.
Bojay Filimoeatu will coach defensive ends, Andre Dyson will coach cornerbacks, and James Cowser will be a defensive assistant.
