Weber State G Seikou Sisoho Jawara Named Big Sky Player Of The Week

OGDEN, Utah – The Big Sky named Weber State guard Seikou Sisoho Jawara Conference Player of the Week after his performances against Montana State.
Seikou Sisoho Jawara led Weber State to two wins over Montana State at the Dee Events Center in Ogden last week. The Loyola Marymount transfer dropped 17 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in 27 minutes in their 96-88 win over the Bobcats on Thursday, February 4. He shot 6-of-9 from the field, 1-for-1 from the three-point line and made all four of his free throw attempts.
Jawara was one of three Weber State players to score at team-high 17 points in that game, joining Isiah Brown and Dontay Bassett. Zahir Porter added 16 points as six Wildcats scored in double figures.
After leading the Wildcats to a pair of wins, Weber State's Seikou Sisoho Jawara has been named the #BigSkyMBB Player of the Week.

In the rematch on Saturday, February 6, Jawara scored a game-high 25 points to go with his 3 rebounds and 4 assists. He shot 7-of-9 from the floor, 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and made all 6 free throw attempts in 32 minutes. Four Wildcats scored in double figures, including 17 from Bassett, 15 from Porter an 11 from Brown. Weber State beat Montana State 82-74 on Saturday.
The Wildcats have won four straight games and eight of their last nine. They are 11-4 overall and 6-2 in Big Sky Play. Weber State will return to action on Thursday, February 11 when they travel to Montana to face the Grizzlies. Tip-off is at 5 p.m. MST. Then they will play Montana again on Saturday, February 13 at 2:30 p.m. MST. Both games will be streamed on Pluto TV channel 1056 and heard on 103.1 FM “The Wave.”
