Chiefs List Former Utah State RB Darwin Thompson As ‘Inactive’ For Super Bowl LV

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Kansas City Chiefs listed former Utah State running back Darwin Thompson as “inactive” for Super Bowl LV.
The Chiefs will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, February 7.
About 90 minutes before kick-off, Kansas City announced that Thompson was one of the team’s seven inactive players for the championship game.

This season, Thompson carried the ball 27 times for 97 yards and one touchdown.
In addition to running the ball, the former USU standout had seven catches for 65 yards and a touchdown.
The second-year running back played in 14 games for Kansas City in 2020.
Prior to his time in the NFL, Thompson starred at running back in Logan, Utah.

During the 2018 Utah State season, Thompson’s only year with the Aggies, he ran the ball 153 times for 1,044 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Super Bowl LV between the Chiefs and Buccaneers is scheduled to kick-off on Sunday, February 7 at 4:30 p.m. (MDT) on CBS.
