Eight Thunderbirds Score In Double Figures, Southern Utah Crushes Benedictine By 52 Points

CEDAR CITY, Utah – The Southern Utah men’s basketball team cruised to a 52-point victory over the Benedictine Redhawks behind eight T-Bird players scoring in double figures.
The Thunderbirds hosted the Redhawks at the America First Events Center on Saturday, February 6.
Eight SUU players scored 10 points or more in a 110-58 win.
Marquis Moore led the Thunderbirds with 18 points.

In addition to Moore, the following Southern Utah players scored at least 10 points in the win: Maizen Fausett, Nick Fleming, Tevian Jones, Dre Marin, Dee Barnes, Harrison Butler, and Aanen Moody.

The T-Birds finished the contest shooting 55.6 percent from the field, including 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Southern Utah limited Benedictine to 33.8 percent shooting for the game and 25.0 percent from three.
Austin Denham led the Redhawks with 13 points.
With the win, the Thunderbirds improved to a record of 12-3 on the season. SUU owns a record of 6-2 in the Big Sky Conference.
