Dixie State Overcomes Double-Digit Deficit To Beat Seattle

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Dixie State men’s basketball team overcame a double-digit deficit to beat the Seattle Redhawks.
The Trailblazers hosted the Redhawks at Burns Arena on Friday, February 5.
After trailing by 12 points in the second half, the Blazers railed to beat Seattle, 77-76.

Five Blazers scored in doubles figures in the win.
Jarod Green led Dixie State with 16 points on 5-8 field goals.
The Trailblazers ended the contest shooting 34.4 percent from the field and 26.3 percent from three.

The Trailblazers held Seattle to 38.0 percent shooting, including 32.4 percent from beyond the arc.
The Redhawks were led by Darrion Trammell’s 30 points and Aaron Nettles’ 20 points.

With the win, the Blazers improve to 6-8 on the season and a record of 2-5 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Dixie State’s next game is the second of a back-to-back with Seattle. The Trailblazers will host the Redhawks again on Saturday, February 6 at 7 p.m. (MDT).
