SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin wasn’t pleased with his team’s first half performance against the Utah Jazz and tore his jersey in frustration.

The Jazz hosted the Pistons at Vivint Arena on Tuesday, February 2.

After Utah took a big lead into the halftime break, Griffin ripped his jersey on the way to the visiting locker room.

Following the first 24 minutes of game time, the Jazz held a 69-46 advantage.

In the half, Griffin had 5 points on 2-9 field goals. He was 0-4 from three. Griffin added one rebound and an assist during his opening 16 minutes of action.

The Pistons allowed four Jazz players to score in double figures, led by Donovan Mitchell’s 15 points.

By comparison, Detroit only had two players score 10 points or more. Mason Plumlee led the Pistons with 13 points in the first half.

Utah shot 55.0 percent from the field, including 45.5 percent from three.

The Pistons were limited to 30.0 percent shooting, including only 21.4 percent from downtown.

Utah’s game against Detroit is broadcast on AT&T SportsNet and 97.5 FM.
