SUU Announces Cancellation Of Two-Game Series With Northern Colorado Due To COVID-19

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Southern Utah Athletics announced that its upcoming two-game men’s basketball series against Northern Colorado has been canceled because of coronavirus concerns.
The Thunderbirds said the cancellation is due to COVID-19 related concerns with the Bears’ program.
SUU was slated to play UNC in back-to-back games on February 4 and 6.

Currently, Big Sky Conference games aren’t rescheduled following cancellations.
This season, the Thunderbirds own an 11-3 record.
Southern Utah is currently in second place in the Big Sky with a 6-2 conference record.
Thunderbirds guard Tevian Jones leads the team with an average of 18.4 points per contest.

Southern Utah’s next scheduled game is against the Sacramento State Hornets on Thursday, February 18. The T-Birds will host the Hornets in Cedar City at 7 p.m. (MDT).
