SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah wide receiver Bryan Thompson has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Bryan Thompson is entering the portal and four seasons with the Utah football program. In 33 games played, Thompson started 12 games and had 33 receptions for 756 yards and 4 touchdowns. He averaged 22.9 yards per catch through his Utah career.

The Moreno Valley, California native joined Utah in 2017 where he started one game but played in 12 contests, hauling in five catches for 77 yards. In 2018, Thompson used his redshirt while still playing in four games, collecting a catch for 31 yards against Northwestern in the Holiday Bowl.
The 2019 season was Thompson’s breakout year, with nine starts, he recorded 18 catches for 461 yards (2nd on team) and three touchdowns. He averaged 25.6 yards per catch, while posting two 100-yard receiving games. Thompson had 111 yards against Washington State and 105 yards against Idaho State.
In five games during the 2020 season, Thompson had nine receptions for 187 yards and one touchdown.
Utah is loaded at the wide receiver position but the loss of Thompson still hurts. The Utes will look to Britain Covey, Solomon Enis, Samson Nacua, Devaughn Vele, Money Parks, Connor O’Toole and incoming freshman Makai Cope.
