Tony Finau Finishes Farmers Insurance Open Tied For Second

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau finished the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines tied for second, five shots behind the champion Patrick Reed.
It was a solid final round at the Farmers Insurance Open for Tony Finau who finished three under with a 69 on Sunday and was -9 for the tournament.
Finau shot three under in the first round, followed by -5 in the second round and two over in the third round.
On Sunday, Finau started the final round with two straight pars on Nos. 1 and 2. Then he made a birdie on the third hole before getting a bogey on No. 4. After a par on No. 5, Finau shot two straight birdies on the sixth and seventh holes. He wrapped up the front nine with a par on No. 8 and birdie on No. 9 to finish the front at -3.
The back nine started with a bogey on No. 10 but rebounded with a birdie on the 11th hole. Finau then made par on No. 12, birdie on the 13th hole and bogey on No. 14. After two straight pars, Finau made birdie on No. 17 and bogey on the final hole to go even on the back nine.
Finau had 7 birdies, 7 pars and 4 bogeys in the final round. For the tournament, Finau recorded one eagle, 17 birdies, 44 pars and 10 bogeys.
