BYU Football’s Khyiris Tonga, Chris Wilcox Invited To 2021 NFL Scouting Combine

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – BYU football’s Khyiris Tonga and Chris Wilcox announced that they were invited to participate in the 2021 NFL Scouting Combine.
Tonga and Wilcox shared the news via social media on Friday, January 29.
“Grateful to be invited to the NFL Combine! #DreamsIntoReality,” Tonga tweeted.
“Invited to the NFL Combine! Blessings,” Wilcox posted.
About Khyiris Tonga
Tonga played for the Cougars from 2017-20.
The former Granger High standout recorded 130 total tackles, 69 solo tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, five quarterback hits, and 12 pass breakups during his time in Provo.
About Chris Wilcox
Wilcox played at BYU from 2016-20.
The Fontana, California native had 88 total tackles, 68 solo tackles, three tackles for loss, and eight pass breakups during his college career.
2021 NFL Scouting Combine
According to a league memo sent to the 32 NFL teams, the 2021 NFL Scouting Combine will be altered because of the coronavirus pandemic.
This year’s Combine will not feature in-person workouts. Instead, players will have the chance to work out during pro days at their schools.
Teams will have the opportunity to interview players virtually.
Tonga and Wilcox are currently preparing for the 2021 NFL Draft which is scheduled to take place in Cleveland, Ohio from April 29-May 1.
