Jazz Center Rudy Gobert Dunks, Dominates During Opening Minutes Against Mavericks

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz center Rudy Gobert threw down a pair of slam dunks and dominated the game during his first minutes on the court in Utah’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Jazz hosted the Mavericks at Vivint Arena on Wednesday, January 27.
During the opening minutes of action, Gobert impacted the game on both the offensive and defensive ends of play.
In his first five minutes on the floor, the center scored six points, four of which came on a pair of dunks.

When he checked out for the first time at the 2:14 mark of the first quarter, Gobert had scored a quarter-high 10 points on 4-6 shooting.

In addition to his scoring, he had four rebounds, one steal, and a block.
The two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year helped limited the Mavericks to 9-14 shooting in the quarter, including 0-6 from three-point range.

At the end of the opening 12 minutes, Gobert and the Jazz held owned a 32-19 advantage.
