SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Italian first division club Benevento Calcio is reportedly interested in Aaron Herrera, according to reports that surfaced over the weekend.
It was only a matter of time until Herrera began generating interest from international clubs.
Herrera, 23, was voted RSL Defensive Player of the Year by his peers following the 2020 season and was recently called into the U.S. camp ahead of a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago on January 31st.

He has played a key role at right-back for RSL over the past few years.
Not only is he a good defender who can stay with the best wingers in the game, but he also excels in the attacking phase of soccer. Herrera is not opposed to flying down the right-wing into the attack to help his teammates score goals.
In fact, Herrera has always made an emphasis to mention the importance of becoming more of an attacking threat whenever he speaks with the media.
At 23 years old, the time has come for Herrera to make the jump to Europe.
RSL responded to KSL Sports’ request regarding the rumor: “We have not been contacted by any teams or agents about interest in Aaron,” the club states.
