SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Ten years after Jimmermania at BYU swept the country off of its feet, Jimmer Fredette is still a walking bucket.
The BYU legend dropped a 70-piece in his latest outing with the Shanghai Sharks in China against the Sichuan Blue Whales.

Fredette did everything he could to will his Sharks team to victory. Ultimately, the memorable performance came up short in double overtime as the Blue Whales took down the Shanghai Sharks 136-129.
The loss doesn’t take away from the brilliant play of Fredette, who knocked down 11 threes in the game and nearly pulled off a triple-double. To go along with his 70 points, Fredette had nine assists, eight rebounds, four steals, and two blocks.
The former Wooden Award winner at BYU shot 50 percent from the field and three and was a perfect 23/23 from the free-throw line. Kids, knock down your free throws, and you can put up some big numbers.

On the season, Fredette is now averaging 26.3 points per game with the Sharks in his first year back to China after playing in the EuroLeague last season with Panathinaikos.
The 70 points by Fredette was five short of tying his professional career-high when he scored 75 points in 2018 in a CBA game. It’s the third time in Fredette’s CBA career that he has scored more than 70 points in a game.
According to Sportando, Fredette is making $1.6 million in salary this season with the Sharks.
