Fardaws Aimaq, Utah Valley Win Second Straight Game Against Cal Baptist

OREM, Utah – Utah Valley center Fardaws Aimaq and the Wolverines won their second consecutive game against the California Baptist Lancers.
The Wolverines hosted the Lancers at the UCCU Center in Orem on Saturday, January 9.
Utah Valley previously defeated Cal Baptist on January 8.
Aimaq posted a monstrous double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds to lead UVU to an 81-77 victory.

It was Aimaq’s seventh double-double of the season.
The Utah Valley center was 8/12 on field goals while adding two assists, a steal, and three blocks during his 36 minutes on the court.

Overall, the Wolverines shot 53.8 percent from the field and 61.5 percent from three.

Cal Baptist finished the contest shooting 40.0 percent overall and 23.1 percent from downtown.
The Lancers were led by Tre Armstrong’s 24 points.
With the win, the Wolverines improved to a record of 4-5 on the season.

Utah Valley’s next game is against Seattle on Friday, January 15 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on ESPN+.
