Donovan Mitchell, Jazz Hot From Three In Win Over Bucks

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz were feeling it from downtown in their 131-118 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.
Donovan Mitchell scored 20 of his 32 points in the second half and knocked down 4-of-9 from beyond the as the Jazz beat the Bucks. Utah set a franchise record for most three-pointers made in a game with 25. They attempted 53 shots from downtown for 47 percent. Bojan Bogdanovic and Royce O’Neale each scored 18 points, while Mike Conley dropping 17 points and 10 assists. Jordan Clarkson was huge off the bench with 26 points and 6 rebounds, connecting on 5-of-12 from deep.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had 35 points to lead the Bucks. Khris Middleton added 31 points and 10 rebounds. Jrue Holiday chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. All five starters scored in double figures. Milwaukee had just 12 points from their bench.
Utah Jazz Set Franchise Record For Threes In First Half
In the first half, the Jazz were on fire from beyond the arc. They set a franchise record for the most threes made in a half with 14. The Jazz also set a franchise record for most threes in the first quarter with 9.
Jordan Clarkson had 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field and 4-for-8 from downtown in the first half. Mike Conley and Royce O’Neale each made three three-pointers. Donovan Mitchell and Bojan Bogdanovic each knocked down two apiece.
The team set a franchise record with 25 three-pointers made. Royce O’Neale made 6 threes to lead the Jazz. Jordan Clarkson and Mike Conley each made 5 triples. Donovan Mitchell and Bojan Bogdanovic added 4 threes apiece and Georges Niang had one.

Donovan Mitchell Goes Off In Second Half For Jazz
After scoring 12 points in the opening half of play, including two made three-pointers, Donovan Mitchell stepped up his game in the second half. Mitchell recorded 32 in the second half and finished with 20 points.
In the third quarter, Mitchell scored 16 of his 20 second half points. After struggling for a few games, the Jazz All-Star came out aggressive and played really well.

The Jazz snapped their two-game losing streak and improved to 5-4 on the season. They will be back in action on Sunday, January 10 when they face the Detroit Pistons at 1 p.m. MST on AT&T SportsNet. It’s the fifth stop on their seven game road trip.
