Chiefs Running Back Darwin Thompson Scores First Touchdown Of Season Against Chargers

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah State and current Kansas City Chiefs running back Darwin Thompson scored his first touchdown of the 2020 season against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chiefs hosted the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, January 3.
With 13:41 remaining in the first half, Chiefs quarterback Chad Henne handed the ball off to Thompson, who ran it one-yard across the goal line and into the end zone.
It was Thompson’s first score of the season.

The former USU standout’s touchdown gave the Chiefs a 14-7 lead.
Thompson started the game at running back for Kansas City.
At the half, the Chiefs trailed the Chargers, 24-14.

During the first 30 minutes of action, Thompson had five carries for 13 yards and a touchdown.
He also led the Chiefs in receiving with four catches for 42 yards.
Thompson entered the game with 13 rushes for 52 yards in 13 games this season.
Kansas City’s game against Los Angeles is broadcast on FOX.
