Weber State Holds Off Utah Valley To Snap Two-Game Skid

OGDEN, Utah – The Weber State Wildcats held off the Utah Valley Wolverines to end a two-game losing streak and start 2021 with a victory.
Weber State hosted UVU at the Dee Events Center on Saturday, January 2.
The Wildcats crawled past the Wolverines in the second half for a 70-62 win.

At halftime, the two teams were tied at 30 apiece.
Both teams had a trio of players that scored in double figures.
Utah Valley was led by Jamison Overton’s 19 points on 7-17 shooting.

Weber State’s Seikou Sisoho Jawara scored 14 points on 5-8 field goals.
The Wildcats outshot the Wolverines, 42.3 percent to 41.1 percent. UVU shot 25.0 percent on triples compared to Weber State’s 28.6 percent.

With the result, Utah Valley fell to 2-5 on the season.
The Wildcats improved to a record of 4-3 with the win.
