Mike Conley’s Hot Start Propels Jazz During Opening Quarter Against Clippers

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Mike Conley performed well and led Utah during the opening 12 minutes of game time against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Jazz hosted the Clippers at Vivint Arena on Friday, January 1.
Conley scored a quarter-high 12 points on 5-7 shooting, including 2-3 on three-pointers during the first quarter.
He added one rebound and one assist during his first eight minutes on the court.

Conley’s 12-point total gave the Jazz a 12-point margin at the end of the opening quarter.
After 12 minutes, Utah led Los Angeles, 31-19.

In the quarter, the Jazz shot 52.0 percent from the field, including 55.6 percent from downtown.

The Clippers shot 25.0 percent overall and 42.9 percent on triples.
Kawhi Leonard led Los Angeles with five points.
