SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah State Aggies have picked up a commitment from Arkansas State quarterback Logan Bonner.
Utah State is getting Logan Bonner who played for head coach Blake Anderson when he was at the helm at Arkansas State. Bonner entered his name into the transfer portal on December 7, five days before the Aggies announced the hiring of Anderson as their next head football coach.
Bonner announced his decision to go to Utah State on December 29 via Twitter.

Bonner played 24 games in four years for Arkansas State. He threw for over 1,000 yards in each of his last two seasons for the Red Wolves. In 2020, Bonner threw for 1,863 yards, 18 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 11 games for Arkansas State.
Coming out of high school, Bonner was a part of the 2016 recruiting class. Bonner is from Rowlett, Texas. As a two-star prospect, he received offers from Eastern Washington, Southern Miss and UTSA.
Utah State’s quarterback situation is up in the air after interim head coach Frank Maile dismissed former Utah QB Jason Shelley for violation of team rules in the middle of the 2020 season. Andrew Peasley started the rest of the year as the Aggies finished the campaign with a 1-5 record. Cooper Legas is also a quarterback that will be in the mix for the starting job in 2021. He was a multiple state champion at Orem High School.
