Jazz Rookie Udoka Azubuike Dunks On Blazers’ Enes Kanter For First NBA Bucket

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Udoka Azubuike put former Jazzman and current Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter on a poster for his first NBA bucket.
Kanter and the Blazers hosted Azubuike and the Jazz for the season-opening game at the Moda Center on Wednesday, December 23.
With 53.1 seconds left in the contest, Jazz guard Miye Oni lobbed a pass to Azubuike, who went up with the ball and dunked over Kanter.

The former Jazzman, known for his struggles on defense, was on the receiving end of Azubuike’s first field goal as an NBA player.

After the jam, the Jazz players on the bench jumped up in celebration of Azubuike’s first points.

When the final buzzer sounded, Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell appeared to grab the game ball for Azubuike.
Azubuike was selected out of Kansas by Utah with the No. 27 overall pick in November’s 2020 NBA Draft.
He finished his first professional game with two points on 1-1 field goals. He also pulled down a rebound during his four minutes on the floor.
The Jazz won the game 120-100.
Utahβs next game is against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, December 26 at 7 p.m. (MDT).
The game will broadcast on AT&T SportsNet, NBA League Pass, and 97.5 FM.
