Gobert Posterizes Nurkic Off Nifty Pass From Mitchell
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz are clicking on all cylinders against the Portland Trail Blazers in their season opener. While it was three-point shooting that got the Jazz started, it’s been Rudy Gobert and the pick and roll in the third quarter that has further extended the Jazz lead.
Perhaps no play better illustrates that than Gobert’s facial against Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic.
Mitchell perfectly read the defense and forced the Blazers to collapse on him as he drove into the paint, but as soon as Nurkic lost sight of Gobert, the All-Star teammates connected on a nifty pass leading to Gobert’s poster.

The combination is a welcome sign for the Jazz front office after the two players relationship apparently soured during the league’s hiatus last season.
The Jazz paid the two All-Stars a combined $396 million during the offseason, and right now it looks like they’re worth every penny.
