BOCA RATON, Florida – BYU quarterback Zach Wilson is never afraid to bring out some fresh swag to his uniform. Heck, the guy called out “his guy” Aaron Rodgers for his lack of swag. Which Rodgers felt compelled to respond to the star BYU gunslinger.
Wilson, who could be playing in his final game as a BYU Cougar on Tuesday night against UCF, is bringing out some icy new cleats for the Florida heat.

The popular BYU Equipment twitter page unveiled Wilson’s kicks he will be waring against the Knights in the 2020 Boca Raton Bowl, and they definitely classify as “swag.”

Those things are icy. The handpainted custom design with a BYU logo on one side and a No. 1 on the other cleat.
BYU will be wearing its undefeated all-white uniform with royal blue numbers and trim, the traditional white BYU helmet with the royal stretch Y, striping, and facemask. The Cougars have donned this look two previous times this season, both games resulting in victories away from Provo; Navy and Boise State.

BYU also wore this look last season on the road against Utah State in another victory away from Provo.
Wilson is one of the big storylines heading into the Cougars Boca Raton Bowl matchup with UCF. The junior quarterback is rising NFL Draft boards and is making a strong case to potentially be the No. 2 QB drafted next April behind Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence.
If there was a big board on bringing the swag to the field, Wilson would have to be near the top among quarterbacks, and maybe all college football players this season.

Wilson will look to lead BYU to its 11th win this season, which would be the first time BYU has reached that mark since the 2009 season.
The Draper, Utah native, has passed for 3,267 yards this season and has completed 73 percent of his passes. Wilson is considered a Heisman Trophy candidate after tossing 30 touchdowns to only four interceptions this year and producing a QB Efficiency rating of 194.84 in 2020.
