Baylor Quarterback Charlie Brewer Transfers To Utah Football

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer will transfer to Utah football following four seasons with the Bears.
Brewer was the starter for Baylor for four years before deciding to leave the program and entered the portal on December 13. One week later, the Austin, Texas native announced his decision to join the Utes.

Brewer had an amazing career with the Bears. He threw for 9,700 yards, 65 touchdowns and 28 interceptions in 44 games played. His best season was as a junior in 2019 when he had 3,161 passing yards for 21 TD’s and 7 INT’s. He earned All-Big 12 honorable mention and was the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award finalist. Baylor finished the 2019 season with an 11-3 record, falling to Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship game and lost to Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.
In four seasons, Brewer ran for 1,039 yards and 22 touchdowns.
In 2020, the veteran QB threw for 1,958 yards, 14 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. Baylor went 2-7 this season with wins over Kansas and Kansas State. They lost to West Virginia (2 OT), Texas, TCU, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
