Utah QB Drew Lisk Replaces Jake Bentley During First Half Against Washington State

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Backup quarterback Drew Lisk replaced starter Jake Bentley during the first half of Utah’s game against Washington State.
The Utes hosted the Cougars at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, December 19.
Looking for a spark to the offensve with 1:21 left in the second quarter and Utah down 28-7, Lisk replaced Bentley at quarterback for the Utes’ final offensive series of the first half.

During his time on the field, Bentley was 7/14 for 153 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also had four carries for 13 yards.
The Utes turned the ball over on downs on the senior quarterback’s first series.
Lisk finished the half 4/8 passing for 22 yards.
The former Jordan high star had gone 7/9 passing for 52 yards in six games before Saturday’s contest.
Washington State took a 28-7 lead to the locker room at the break.

The Cougars outgained the Utes 288-250 in total yards during the first 30 minutes of action.
Time of possession was also in Washington State’s favor, 18:22-11:38.
The Utes turned the ball over three times, including two fumbles and Bentley’s pick.
Utah’s game against Washington State is broadcast on FS1 and 700 AM.
