Weber State Cruises Past Portland State Behind Zahir Porter’s Big Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Weber State men’s basketball team cruised to an easy victory over the Portland State Vikings behind a big game by Zahir Porter.
The Vikings hosted the Wildcats on Friday, December 18.
Weber State defeated Portland State, 94-66.
Porter finished the contest with a game-high 24 points on 9-17 shooting. The total was a new career-high for Porter.
The WSU guard was 3-5 from three and 3-4 from the free throw line.

He also added four rebounds, two assists, and a block in the win.
Overall, the Wildcats shot 48.4 percent from the field, including 52.6 percent from distance.
By comparison, Portland State shot 32.8 percent from the field and 24.1 percent from beyond the arc.
With the victory, Weber State improved to 3-1 on the season.

Weber State’s next contest is the second game of a back-to-back with Portland State. The Vikings and Wildcats will play again on Sunday, December 20 at 1:05 p.m. (MDT).
