Utah Valley Cancels Men’s Basketball Game Against Idaho State Due To COVID-19

OREM, Utah – Utah Valley Athletics announced that the Wolverines’ men’s basketball program will play against Idaho State because of COVID-19 issues.
On Thursday, December 17, the Wolverines canceled their upcoming game with the Bengals.
Utah Valley was slated to host Idaho State at the UCCU Center in Orem, Utah on Saturday, December 19.
“Saturday’s men’s basketball game between Utah Valley University and Idaho State University at the UCCU Center has been canceled due to COVID-19 related issues within the UVU program,” UVU Athletics said in a statement.

This is the second cancellation on Utah Valley’s 2020-21 schedule.
The Wolverines’ originally scheduled season-opener vs. Stanford was also canceled because of coronavirus related concerns.
Utah Valley currently owns a 2-4 record this season.
UVU’s next scheduled game is against the Air Force Falcons on Wednesday, December 23 at 1 p.m. (MDT).
