SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that former University of Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley “will be ready if called upon” during the team’s Week 15 game.

The Ravens are slated to host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, December 20.

Harbaugh said that Huntley will serve as Jackson’s primary backup against Jacksonville.

“Tyler has been doing great. He’ll be our backup in this game and will be ready if called upon,” the Ravens coach said.

Starting quarterback and last season’s MVP, Lamar Jackson, told reporters that he is trying to keep Huntley’s game a secret.

I don’t want to tell y’all anything about him. I don’t want y’all hyping him up,” Jackson said. “I’m trying to keep him under the radar.”

Huntley was promoted from the practice squad to Baltimore’s active roster after Trace McSorley was placed on injured reserve after suffering an injury in Week 14.

With McSorley out and Robert Griffin III unavailable, Huntley was the next quarterback in line to back up Jackson.

The Ravens own an 8-5 record this season.

Baltimore will host the one-win Jaguars on Sunday, December 20 at 11 a.m. (MDT) on CBS.
