Ty Jordan, Jadon Redding Honored By Pac-12 For Second Straight Week

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah running back Ty Jordan and placekicker Jadon Redding have received Pac-12 honors for the second straight week.
The duo had tremendous performances in Utah’s 38-21 win over No. 21 Colorado on Saturday in Boulder.
Jordan was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week after rushing for 147 yards and two touchdowns against the Buffaloes. Redding was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals, nailing FG’s from 38, 42 and 43-yards. He was also 3-of-3 on PAT’s. Redding was named Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week.
Both players earned the Pac-12 weekly honors last week when the Utes picked up their first win of the 2020 season by beating Oregon State.

Jordan averaged 8.6 yards per carry against Colorado and has now rushed for 314 yards in the last two games, which is the most by a freshman in a two-game span in school history. Jordan was also nominated for Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week.
Redding’s 42-yard field goal in the second quarter just before halftime tied his career long.
Utah linebacker Nephi Sewell was nominated for Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week. Jaren Kump was nominated for Offensive Lineman of the Week. Defensive end Maxs Tupai was nominated for Defensive Lineman of the Week.
USC quarterback Kedon Slovis was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week after throwing five touchdown passes in the Trojans’ win over UCLA. His teammate Talanoa Hufanga earned Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors. Arizona State’s Dohnovan West was named Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week. Trojans linebacker/edge rusher Drake Jackson earned Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week.
