SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz look to stay undefeated when they host the Phoenix Suns in the teams’ second preseason meeting. The Jazz beat Phoenix 119-105 in their preseason opener Saturday night.
Jordan Clarkson led the Jazz with 19 points and accounted for five of the Jazz 17 three-point makes.
The Jazz outshot Phoenix from beyond the arc, connecting on 41.5 percent of their 41 three-point attempts. The Suns made just 10 threes on 29 attempts.
Phoenix was without All-Star guard Chris Paul in the loss. The Suns acquired Paul in a blockbuster trade this offseason. Former Jazzman Jae Crowder also missed the preseason opener after missing portions of the Suns training camp to deal with a personal matter.
Paul told the media he planned to make his Suns debut Monday night.
