Weber State Player Accidentally Punches Official During Loss To Boise State

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Weber State forward Dillon Jones accidentally punched an official during the Wildcats’ loss to the Boise State Broncos.
The Broncos hosted the Wildcats at ExtraMile Arena in Boise, Idaho on Sunday, December 13.
Midway through the first half, Jones banked a shot off the glass and into the bucket while getting fouled.
In celebration of the basket, the freshman forward swung his arm and accidentally punched the baseline official.
Make sure you ALWAYS know where the ref is if you plan on punching the air in celebration 😬

Weber State ended up falling 70-59 to Boise State.
Jones finished the game with three points, three rebounds, and three steals.

The Wildcats were led by Isiah Brown’s 18 points on 4-11 shooting.
Weber State shot 36.5 percent from the field, including 24.0 percent from distance.

By comparison, Boise State shot 41.0 percent overall and 42.3 percent from three.
Derrick Alston Jr. led the Broncos with 23 points.

With the loss, the Wildcats fell to 2-1 on the season.
Weber State’s next game is against the Portland State Vikings on Friday, December 18 at 8:05 p.m. (MDT).
