SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After trailing by a touchdown with all the momentum going towards Colorado, Utah capitalized on a turnover with a field goal before halftime.
Colorado was up 14-7 with about 30 seconds left until halftime. Knowing they were going to get the ball to start the second half, CU decided to run out the clock. Running back Jarek Broussard lost the ball as Utah linebacker Nephi Sewell punched it out of his hands. Cornerback JaTravis Broughton recovered the fumble and set the Utes up on the Colorado 40-yard line.
