SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah High School Activities Association announced a realignment beginning in 2021 and running through 2023.
On Wednesday, December 9, UHSAA’s Board of Trustees voted on the new structure.
Here are the new regions for UHSAA:
UHSAA said that it will hold a public hearing to get “feedback from the various districts, schools and communities on the placement of schools into regions.”
The hearing will take place virtually via a Zoom call on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. (MDT).
For those interested in presenting to the Board, UHSAA said it will pass along information to districts and member schools on December 14.
The new regions will be finalized by the Board of Trustees on December 17, to allow “time for schools and regions to organize and schedule for the two-year alignment period.”
Realignment for athletic contests will go into effect in the fall of 2021.
