SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah football had two players honored by the Pac-12 for their performances last week against Oregon State.
Running back Ty Jordan was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week. Jordan racked up 167 rushing yards on 27 carries against the Beavers and scored his first career touchdown. He is the first Utah true freshman that rushed for over 100 yards in a game since Chris Fuamatu-Ma’afala against BYU in 1995 when he racked up 108 yards.
Place kicker Jadon Redding was named Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week after nailing all three of his field goal attempts and all three PAT’s versus Oregon State. Redding made field goals from 20, 27 and 33 yards.
It’s the first Pac-12 Player of the Week awards for Utah in the 2020 season.
