Utah WR Britain Covey Scores First Touchdown Since 2018 Season

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah wide receiver Britan Covey scored his first touchdown since the 2018 season during the Utes’ game against the Oregon State Beavers.
The Utes hosted the Beavers at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, December 5.
With 6:22 remaining in the third quarter, Utah quarterback Jake Bentley connected with Covey for an eight-yard touchdown.
Covey’s touchdown reception stretched the Utes’ lead to 23-10.

It was the senior receiver’s first score since the 2018 season.
Covey’s last touchdown reception came on October 20, 2018, in a 41-28 win over the USC Trojans.

The catch gave him four receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown against the Beavers.
He also had two carries for seven yards.

Bentley’s toss was his first touchdown of the game.
He was started 16/23 passing for 163 yards and a touchdown. After the score, Bentley’s passer rating was 143.4.
