SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau’s third round began with a bang before three back-nine bogeys derailed his third round at the Mayakoba Golf Classic.
Finau started the day four shots behind Emiliano Grillo who led following the first two rounds. However, on Saturday, Finau managed to close the gap with a five-under-par front nine only to bogey three holes on the back and end the day two-under-par, 69.
Remarkably, Finau drained an ace on the par 3, fourth hole after backing his iron into the bottom of the cup from 116 yards.

Finau dropped down the leaderboard and currently sits five shots off the pace and in a tie for seventh.
Sunday begins at 7:30 a.m. for Finau who will tee it off the first tee alongside Carlos Ortiz and Joaquin Niemann who will begin Sunday one shot behind Finau.
