Colts LB Leonard Sends Signed Jersey, ‘Best LBs In The Game’ Message To 49ers’ Fred Warner

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard sent former BYU and current San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner a signed jersey and a message.
“Much respect bro!!” Leonard wrote to Warner. “Keep taking over this NFL!! We’re the best LBs in the game!!”

The two “best linebackers in the game” shared the exchange after comments by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers praised Warner in November.
Rodgers and the Packers defeated Warner and the 49ers, 34-17, on November 5.
Warner finished the contest with a game-high 13 total tackles. He also recorded eight solo tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.

After the game FOX’s Erin Andrews had a postgame interview with Rodgers, who praised Warner.
“They still have possibly the best middle linebacker in the game,” Rodgers said.

Leonard heard about Rodgers’ remarks and said he wanted to show the future hall of famer that he was the league’s best linebacker.

On November 22, Indianapolis beat Green Bay, 34-31 in overtime.
Leonard led the Colts with six total tackles, four solo tackles, and a pass breakup.
A couple of weeks later, Leonard sent the jersey and compliment to Warner.
The former BYU linebacker shared the respect and let Leonard know a return gift is on its way to Indiana.
“Much respect brudda!! Mines on the way. #Maniac,” Warner replied to Leonard.
