Utah State Announces Limited Fans Allowed To BYU Basketball Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah State announced that a limited number of fans will be allowed to attend the Aggies’ men’s basketball home opener against the BYU Cougars.
The Aggies are slated to host the Cougars on Saturday, December 5.
“Utah State men’s basketball home opener against BYU on Saturday, Dec. 5, will have limited fans to keep spectators, staff and players safe and healthy during the current COVID-19 pandemic,” Utah State Athletics said in a statement.
Prior to the announcement of limited attendance, Utah State said that head coach Craig Smith tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be in attendance for the game against BYU.

Utah State said that the game’s capacity will be capped at 1,628 seats and tickets will be sold in amounts ranging from one to six seats per transaction.
Tickets for the contest are scheduled to go on sale to priority season ticket holders beginning at 8 a.m. (MDT) on Thursday, December 3.
Any remaining tickets will then become available to the general public on Friday, December 4 at 10 a.m. (MDT).

Fans attending the game will be required to wear face coverings inside the arena. They will also be required to remain in their designated seat “at all times” with the exception of using restroom facilities.
No concessions will be available during the game.
The Cougars and Aggies are slated to tip-off on Saturday, December 5 at 7 p.m. (MDT).
