SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has reportedly let go of assistant coach Steffen Seibert and goalkeeper coach Todd Hoffard following a season in which the club finished near the bottom of the MLS standings.
Per source, RSL has let go of assistant Steffen Seibert and GK coach Todd Hoffard has also not been retained. Surprised about Hoffard, who has worked with the USSF as well as RBNY.

The report also suggests that RSL is retaining manager Freddy Juarez.
“I plan to work with Freddy moving forward, that is our plan and that is what I expect,” RSL General Manager Elliot Fall said during a press conference on Monday, November 30th.
Juarez was announced as the full-time manager in January of 2020 after serving as the interim manager for a large majority of 2019. It was the first team in which Juarez has managed at the first-team level. Previously, Juarez spent two seasons as the manager of the Real Monarchs before making the move to the first team as an assistant coach.
Seibert joined the coaching staff in January of 2020 after stints with Springfield College and Hartford City Football Club. He was also a Coach Educator at the U.S. Soccer Federation. His role within RSL only lasted 11 months.
Hoffard joined RSL in July of 2017 where he has acted as the Director of Goalkeeping. Previously, Hoffard spent two seasons with the New York Red Bulls and the U.S. Soccer Federation. As a player, Hoffard spent three seasons with the Charleston Battery from 1999-2002.
Only one assistant coach remains on the coaching staff; Tyrone Marshall. It remains unclear if Marshall will be on the RSL sidelines in 2021.
