Utah had their two non-conference games canceled due to a COVID-19 case and contract tracing in their program.
“Our top priority is the health and safety of our student-athletes, and all of our decisions will be guided by that principle,” the statement read on Nov. 23.
They were supposed to play Southern Utah on Wednesday, Nov. 25 and Utah Valley on Saturday, Nov. 28. Both games were scheduled to be played at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
The Utes were picked to finish 8th in the Pac-12 preseason media and coaches polls. They finished the 2019-20 season with a 14-17 record before falling to Oregon in the second round of the Pac-12 Tournament.
