Corner Canyon Quarterback Jaxson Dart Breaks State Record For Touchdown Passes

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Corner Canyon quarterback Jaxson Dart surpassed the Utah high school state record for touchdown passes in the Chargers’ semifinal victory over the East Leopards.
On Thursday, November 12, Dart and the Chargers beat the Leopards 45-30 to reach the 6A title game.
During the game, Dart threw five touchdown passes to lead Corner Canyon past East.

After tying the record a week earlier, the senior quarterback’s first touchdown toss of the contest broke the state record with 59 touchdown passes.
With four more touchdown passes against the Leopards, Dart’s new record is 63 touchdown passes.
Prior to Dart’s mark, former Lehi quarterback Cammon Cooper held ownership of the record since 2017. Cooper now plays for the Washington State Cougars.

Dart has the chance to add to his record during the 6A championship game as the Chargers face the Lone Peak Knights.
Corner Canyon and Lone Peak are scheduled to play on Friday, November 20 at 11 a.m. (MDT). The game will be played at Cedar Valley High School.
