This week against FCS foe North Alabama, BYU will wear their standard navy blue uniform with the white pants combo. Nothing out of the ordinary there. The change-up is on the helmet. BYU will be sporting what they call “The Giff” this Saturday against the Lions. A gray facemask on the helmet with navy blue decals.
“The Giff” is named after BYU legend Gifford Nielsen and current General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. BYU wore “The Giff” against Houston last month, but with a royal blue uniform combination.
