Kickoff Times, Venue Announced For 5A, 6A State Championship Games

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) announced the kickoff times and venue for the 5A and 6A football state championship games.
Both games will be played at Cedar Valley High School in Eagle Mountain, Utah on Friday, November 20.
The 6A Championship game between No. 1 Corner Canyon and No. 2 Lone Peak will begin at 11 a.m. MST. The 5A Championship game between No. 2 Orem and No. 9 Timpview will kickoff at 3 p.m. MST.
5A Championship Game
Orem and Timpview were scheduled to play during Week 8 of the season but the game was canceled due to COVID-19. The Tigers are 7-2 in 2020 with wins over Mountain View, East, Alta and Lehi in the regular season. They lost to Skyridge and Lone Peak. In the postseason, Orem has knocked off Provo, Skyline and Maple Mountain.
Timpview is 7-4 on the year with wins over Mountain Ridge, Cyprus, Lehi and Alta in the regular season. They lost to Lone Peak, American Fork, Bingham and Stansbury. During the playoffs, Timpview defeated Olympus, Brighton and Salem Hills.

6A Championship Game
Corner Canyon and Lone Peak met earlier this season as Region 4 foes. The Chargers picked up a 35-25 win over the Knights on Thursday, September 24. Corner Canyon is 13-0 and have won 39 straight games. They have wins over Farmington, Herriman, Bingham, Jordan, Alta, Pleasant Grove, Lone Peak, Westlake, Skyridge and American Fork in the regular season. Corner Canyon has victories over Westlake, Bingham and East in the playoffs.
Lone Peak is 12-1 this season with their only loss coming to Corner Canyon. The Knights have wins in the regular season over Timpview, Jordan, East, Farmington, Orem, Westlake, Skyridge, American Fork and Pleasant Grove. They had to beat Riverton, West and Skyridge to get to the championship game.

4A Championship Game
The 4A Championship game will be played on Saturday, November 21 at Dixie State University at 2 p.m. MST. No. 1 Sky View will look to defend their title against No. 2 Pine View. The Bobcats are 12-0 this season with wins in the regular season over Stansbury, Bonneville, Highland (Idaho), Madison (Idaho), Green Canyon, Ridgeline, Mountain Crest, Logan and Bear River. Sky View had to beat Desert Hills, Cedar City and Ridgeline in the playoffs.
Pine View is 12-1 this season. Their only loss was in the season opener against Ridgeline by four points. During the regular season, the Panthers knocked off Highland, Park City, Desert Hills, Cedar City, Canyon View, Crimson Cliffs, Snow Canyon, Dixie and Hurricane. To get to the title game, they had to beat Crimson Cliffs, Bear River and Snow Canyon.

Juab won the 3A State Championship over the weekend for the first time in school history with a 17-14 win over Morgan. In 2A, Beaver took home the state title with a 42-0 win over Duchesne.
