Savon Scarver Returns Kickoff For Touchdown For Sixth Time In Utah State Career

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State specialist Savon Scarver returned a kickoff for a touchdown for the sixth time of his Aggie career during the opening quarter against the Fresno State Bulldogs.
The Aggies hosted the Fresno State Bulldogs at Maverik Stadium on Saturday, November 14.
With 4:33 left in the first quarter, Scarver took a Fresno State kickoff 94 yards for a USU touchdown.

It was Scarver’s sixth time taking a kickoff return all the way during his four seasons at Utah State.
The score was Scarver’s first kickoff return TD of 2020.
He is now one kickoff return for a touchdown away from the NCAA record.

In 2019 and 2018, the specialist had a pair of kickoff returns for scores. In 2017, Scarver ran on kickoff back for a touchdown.
During the offseason, he was named to the Preseason Mountain West All-Conference Team as a kick returner.
Scarver was a consensus All-American in 2018 and was first-team All-Mountain West last season after leading the conference and finishing second in the nation in kickoff returns for touchdowns.
Utah State owned a 13-7 lead over Fresno State after the first quarter in Logan.
The game between the Bulldogs and Aggies is broadcast on FS2, 1280 AM, and 97.5 FM.
