SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau got off to a rough start this morning after bogeying two of his first three holes. However, a remarkable shot out of the greenside bunker on hole 15 has put Finau back into contention.
The Par 5 15th hole plays at 530 yards. His first shot found the fairway but was tucked behind a group of trees. His only approach shot was to push it right, which he did and subsequently found the greenshide bunker. Fortunately, Finau made great contact out of the sand, the ball rolled across the putting surface, hit the middle of the flag and dropped for an eagle.
