Finau has had success at Augusta National since debuting in 2018. He has also had the most iconic moment of his career to date during the Par-3 contest in 2019 when he dislocated his foot and popped it back in after making a hole-in-one.
Nonetheless, Finau’s track record speaks for itself with a tie for 10th in 2018 and a tie for 5th despite playing in the final group with eventual champion Tiger Woods in 2019.
The Masters will look and feel very different this year as no patrons will be walking the course alongside the players. The tournament is being played in November this year when it is generally played in April.
“The golf course looks amazing, but it just feels so different,” Finau told reporters on Tuesday.

Players that succeed at Augusta generally make two things happen during the tournament – driving the ball long off the tee and perfecting the lag putt.
Fortunately, Finau has thrived in both areas since 2018. The ability to drive the ball long during this upcoming fall edition of The Masters will be even more important as the weather is suggesting much chillier temperatures than normal with a chance of rain.
