Record Predictions
We predicted what Utah’s record will be by the end of the first six games (given that they play every game).
Sean O’Connell: 3-3 (losses to Arizona State and USC were mentioned)
Kenneth Scott: 4-2 (best case) or 3-3 (worse case)
Tom Hackett: 4-2 (losses to Arizona State and USC)
Trevor Allen: 4-2 (losses to Arizona State and USC)
2020 Utah Rushing Leader
It’s hard to replace Zack Moss. Utah will go with a more “by committee” approach. Moss ran for 1,416 yards last season. Here are the predictions on who will lead the team in rushing in 2020.
Sean O’Connell: Jordan Wilmore
Kenneth Scott: Jordan Wilmore
Tom Hackett: Jordan Wilmore
Trevor Allen: Devin Brumfield
2020 Utah Receiving Leader
Utah has plenty of weapons on offense. Last season, Brant Kuithe had the most receptions (34), yards (602) and touchdowns (6). Here is the predictions for which 2020 Utes player will lead the team in receiving.
Sean O’Connell: Brant Kuithe
Kenneth Scott: Britain Covey
Tom Hackett: Brant Kuithe (2nd Bryan Thompson, sleeper is Solomon Enis)
Trevor Allen: Britain Covey
2020 Utah Sacks Leader
Bradlee Anae became Utah’s all-time sack leader in school history last season. He is gone but the Utes will have some players that will be able to get after the quarterback. Here are the sack leader predictions for Utah this season.
Sean O’Connell: Mika Tafua
Kenneth Scott: Mika Tafua
Tom Hackett: Mika Tafua
Trevor Allen: Mika Tafua
2020 Interception Leader
Utah’s entire secondary from 2019 is gone. With so many young players running the defensive back unit, it was difficult to predict.
Sean O’Connell: Nate Ritchie
Kenneth Scott: Clark Phillips III
Tom Hackett: Clark Phillips III
Trevor Allen: Clark Phillips III
The Utes will open the 2020 season on Saturday, November 7 against Arizona at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The game will kickoff at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
